Here you can find a list of programs I personally use and find useful. I do not plan to manage a list with all kind of information, but more a short info list, so that interested people can look further into it. For quite some time I've managed a list of freeware multimedia software and know that it's much work. If you're interested in the last version of this list, you can download it here (it's from 2003, so it's obsolete). All software is free if not otherwise stated! The best spyware solution, use Firefox to avoid most of the spyware problems Archivers: * WinRAR My favorite archiver. It's a shareware program. * 7-Zip A very good archiver, if I wouldn't have a WinRAR license I would use this program. Audio:* Audacity Audio editor and recorder. * EAC
Copies audio data from an audio CD to your format of choice. * Foobar2000 My favorite audio player. * MP3Gain Must have for every MP3 listener. Adjust the MP3 files so that the have the same volume. * Tunatic Song recognition software. Maintenance: Free desktop sharing and remote control The list is work in progress, but I do not want to wait until it's finished to publish it!
